You can partner with Recycle for Refugees by collecting and recycling your drink containers through Return and Earn.
Return and Earn is a New South Wales Government program offering a 10-cent refund for every eligible drink container deposited at designated return points. It’s the largest little reduction initiative in NSW and an ideal way to fundraise for charities.
Simply set up a deposit station in your school, and drop the bottles off at your nearest Return and Earn machine. Before you deposit the bottles, make sure to select ‘Philoi Global’ in the Return and Earn app, and scan the barcode. Watch the video above to see how, or follow these steps:
Step 1. Download the Return and Earn App.
Step 2. Register your school or Sunday school.
Email us at info@philoiglobal.org to sign up your school, Sunday school, or church as a partner with Recycle for Refugees.
Step 3. Start collecting bottles.
Organise bottle drives with your group/school and redeem them at your local return point.
Step 4. Donate the refunds.
Make sure to choose Philoi Global as the charity to receive your funds via the Return and Earn app.
Millions of refugees live in extreme conditions, facing hunger and hardships daily. At the same time, plastic waste harms the planet and its ecosystems. By recycling, we address both issues!
Educate the next generation. Teach students about reducing waste, environmental responsibility, and the global refugee crisis.
Make a direct impact. Every bottle collected helps raise funds for life-saving programs.
Promote community service. Inspire youth to make a difference in the world.
