Light and Hope – Charity Concert

Mar. 21, 2026 / Brisbane

Light and Hope is a celebration of Philoi Global’s work alongside persecuted minorities experiencing forced displacement.

Join us for this special event on 21st of March, 2026 at the New Heart Baptist Church Auditorium, 199 Rochedale Rd, Rochedale, with Elliott Plumpton, Leanne Kenneally, and Jennifer Routley.

Guest Artist: Elliott Plumpton

Elliott is a Brisbane-based violinist and registered music therapist whose work spans performance and community care. A graduate of the Queensland Conservatorium with First Class Honours, the Maurice Mears Memorial Prize and a University Medal, he later trained at the Australian National Academy of Music and has performed at venues across Australia and overseas.

Alongside an active performing career at concerts and events, Elliott holds a Master of Music Therapy from the University of Melbourne and has experience in aged care, hospital, disability and school settings. His passion is creating engaging, personal, and innovative musical experiences for everyone.

Inspired by the courage of displaced minority communities, Elliott is honoured to support Philoi Global’s work at this concert.

Guest Artist: Leanne Kenneally

Leanne Kenneally, a graduate of the Queensland Conservatorium at Griffith University, made her operatic debut with Opera Australia in 1996 and has since built a vibrant career across Australia and abroad. She has performed with major opera companies, orchestras, choirs, and festivals, and spent two seasons as a member of the Cologne Opera in Germany. Her artistic work spans opera, concert performance, recordings, and contemporary collaborations, with her voice featured on releases from Melba Recordings and Navona Records.

Alongside her active performing life, Leanne is dedicated to teaching and mentoring emerging singers at the Queensland Conservatorium and in schools and colleges throughout Brisbane, where she is committed to fostering confident, healthy vocal technique. Beyond her professional achievements, she treasures her roles as a wife and mother – blessings she considers among her greatest accomplishments.

Accompanying Pianist: Jennifer Routley

Jennifer has played piano since age 7, when she began her formal music training. She has enjoyed a long career in various forms of teaching, including serving as a music specialist for QLD Ed. Over the years, both in Australia and abroad, she has been a pianist for choirs and has sung and played at weddings, banquets, concerts and in churches.

Jennifer counts it an honour to play for Philoi Global in support of the growing persecution and displacement of Christians worldwide.
